Marion lost weight and learned she could compete with women half her age!

In her own words...


At long last I am able to write my very own fitness success story.


I truly thought I'd never get here. I have struggled with weight issues most of my adult life. I was becoming fearful of becoming Diabetic or diagnosed with some other horrible physical ailment due to being overweight. Being in my mid-forties and with so many of my family already diagnosed with an array of physical challenges I was ready again to lose weight and embrace some sort of physical fitness. I started power walking a few times a week along with taking most starchy foods out of my diet. I met Mike shortly after I had found some success with this.


Mike suggested I meet with him to do a fitness assessment to see where I was at and perhaps give me an exercise routine to help me with my goal. This was to be the first day of an amazing transformation.


Weekly workout sessions were never dull. He was always switching up my routine to challenge different muscle groups. He was always inquiring if I was on track with my hydration and fueling my body with proper nutrition.


Mike saw me through the “Body for Life Challenge”. I really appreciated his patience. There were a couple of days where I had to call him when I was “having a moment”. He kept me focused on my goal and I made it through to the end of the 84 days with great results. BUT the highlight and confirmation of the effectiveness of Mike's coaching was (me) passing the Police fitness test. That day I was credited for being in better physical condition than the class of 20 year old women I was being tested with. For this I have to thank Mike Foley. He made sure I was more than prepared for that day. An accomplishment I will always be exceptionally proud of.


I have come a long way from my previously chubby self to now. When I started this journey I was wearing a size 16 and now (I am) a size 6. I am now experiencing life with a lot less body weight to carry around. I am making much better food choices, and enjoying the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I feel free now that I've been coached and educated on how to achieve and maintain my fitness goals and I can now take on more challenges with a whole lot more confidence.


Thank you, Mike, for being a GREAT Coach and motivator. I truly appreciate all that we have accomplished.

Kim's courage let her change her direction towards health

Hi my name is Kim and I am 40 years of age. Six months ago I was unhappy with the way I looked. I was concerned about the weight I had put on over the last five years and also concerned about what that meant for my health.


One day I was talking to a neighbour who had been going to a trainer for about a year and she suggested that I meet with him. It took me a few months to gain the confidence to phone her trainer, but finally I did. When I first met Mike I felt embarassed since I was so heavy for my height but this changed very quickly. Mike made me feel comfortable right away. He started me on a program to change my eating habits and become more active. Mike regularly checked on my progress, making sure I stayed on track and he constantly gave me the support I needed.


Since this time I have lost 25 pounds and 18 inches total in my measurements. I have had many positive comments about how I look now, and my healthier lifestyle has made me a much happier person. I am no longer embarassed by my weight and my health is greatly improved.

That phone call was one I will not regret, and without Mike's coaching I would not be where I am now.
